Fire accident in a garment factory
Staff Reporter, Khulna, July 08, 2026: A serious fire broke out at a garment factory in Dhaka last night. The fire started around 9:30 pm. Most people were inside the garment factory. According to local residents, the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. At first, thick smoke spread quickly, and people became frightened to see it. Some residents tried to put out the fire with water, but the flames were very strong. Soon, the fire service was informed. Two fire engines arrived within a short time and started working immediately. After about an hour of hard effort, the fire was brought under control. But many people lost their lives in this accident. However, some people were injured while trying to escape. They were taken to the nearby hospital. Several household items, furniture, and important documents were completely damaged by the fire. The local police also arrived at the scene and helped keep the area safe. This accident reminds us how dangerous fire can be. However, people should always check electrical lines and keep safety equipment at home to avoid such accidents in the future.
